Jong keukengeweld is ook in de zaal te voelen! Fantastische combinatie van smaken, van amuses tot de laatste gang, met originele wijnen (die witte Hongaarse was uitstekend!!). Een verborgen parel??

We hebben wederom heel erg lekker gegeten, van de hapjes tem dessert. De wijnen waren ook heel erg goed!
Ontvangst : niemand te zien ! Waarnaartoe ? Lobby staat vol met drinkende gasten die de doorgang verhinderen. Tafel en bestek zeer basic : er wordt geserveerd op naakte tafel met per gang lepel en vork. Weg sfeer. Eten voortreffelijk en soms verrassend maar niet wauw. Drank (bob formule) OK maar de drie porti...

About August Wijnbar
Where better to enjoy a delicious glass of wine with matching culinary creations than in a historic building that houses both a wine shop and restaurant? The old pear trees on the facade betray the tradition of the building. The house itself was built in 1745 and in 1860 the wine trade Huis Vossen was founded. Since 2017, part of the building has been converted into August Wijnbar.
Chef Sam Verstuyf can already be found in the kitchen. At 19 he learned the tricks of the trade at De Pastorale**, San Daniele* and Sea Grill**. He soon developed his own idiosyncratic style and decided to take over August Wijnbar in October 2019. Sam, together with Bruce & Jo by his side, always presents the most surprising flavor combinations.
When you walk into August's house, you find yourself in an old, charming house. The tables can be found throughout the different rooms of the old building. Each room has its own unique look. From an authentic living room to a cozy Champagne salon and from a contemporary lounge with a view of the kitchen to a spot in our wine shop.
