Although we know a good few restaurants in Knokke, we were not familiar with the Ugly Duckling. Having seen that the reviews in general were positive, we decided to give it a go.

Although we know a good few restaurants in Knokke, we were not familiar with the Ugly Duckling. Having seen that the reviews in general were positive, we decided to give it a go.
We were really pleasantly surprised by the overall quality and originality of the dishes and the successful balance between meat and fish offerings. Stand out dishes include the shrimp carpaccio, kfc (Korean fried chicken) and the Chinese style duck.
It is true that we chose the 9 course tasting menu but if you say that you were still hungry at the end, you were not eating in the same restaurant !
Highly recommended.
